Vegas is a busy city and there is always plenty to do in the area around it too. Here’s what’s going on this weekend in Las Vegas, Henderson and the Boulder City area:

Wednesday-Saturday: Barrett Jackson Classic Car Auction

Billed as the world’s greatest collector car auctions, there is sure to be some outstanding cars. Wednesday is a preview day. The auctions run 11am – 7pm Thurs – Sunday. If you love classic cars, take a look at listlux.

Thursday-Sunday: Super Run Classic Car Show

Open to all years, makes and models of classic vehicles, trucks, motorcycles and hot rods. Plenty of custom and competition cars to see. Located in the Water Street district of Henderson, the old main street area. Don’t miss out on the pancake breakfast, burn out competition and all the fun exhibits and vendors.

Friday-Sunday: Life is Beautiful

18 square blocks of a beautiful experience in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. Music, art, top notch chef prepared food, art cars and so much more. Don’t miss the specially crafted cocktails and opportunity to to hear talks from social innovators, activists and technologists.

Friday: Life is Shit Festival

DIY punk/rock and roll music festival at Las Vegas music venue The Dive, founded in 2013 by members of the Las Vegas music community, as a counter festival to the massive, pop culture-oriented Life is Beautiful Festival.

Friday-Sunday: Andalusian World Cup Horse Show

Another great horse event at the South Point Hotel. Come see the largest Iberian horse show in North America with horses coming from all over.

Friday-Sunday: Las Vegas Jazz Festival

Actually located at the Henderson Pavilion in the Green Valley area and not in Las Vegas, but still just minutes from the strip. 16 different acts playing over the weekend. If you love jazz, don’t miss the Las Vegas Jazz Festival.

Friday-Sunday: Las Vegas Home Expo

If you’ve been thinking of remodeling, the home expo is a great place to see lots of vendors at once and get a feel for what products are available. Door prizes will be given away.

Saturday: Saints and Sinners Half Marathon

Run through tunnels and past scenic views to the finish line. This event has been voted one of the best half marathons near Las Vegas. The downhill course ends just a few feet from Lake Mead.

Saturday: Run Walk Roll Against Bullying

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Take steps to stop bullying and participate in this 5k run or 1.5M Fun Walk & Roll. Entry fee includes t-shirt.

Saturday: Asian Heritage Celebration

Celebrate Asian Heritage at the Springs Preserve with delicious food, a lantern parade, music and dance. See cooking demos and join the traditional Wu-Wo Tea Ceremony.

Saturday: Free Museum Day

Get 2 tickets to use on Free Museum Day. Print your ticket and present it for free admission to participating museums.

Saturday: Boulder City Wurstfest

An annual event put on by the Rotary Club. All proceeds to benefit the Boulder City Sunrise Rotary’s projects.

Saturday: National Public Lands Fee Free Day

Get free admission to many national parks and other federal lands. Spend the day relaxing or exploring and enjoying a day out with the family.

Saturday: Women’s Day Out

Come see this Women’s Expo and set aside a day for you and your friends. Experience a variety of seminars, get free samples, register for door prizes and more. Focus is on fashion, health, organic living, being active and travel.

Saturday: Healthy Kids Expo

Get info and have fun while learning about healthy eating and healthy activity choices. Engage in games, music and entertainment and see health eating demonstrations.

Saturday: Hemophilia Walk

Located at Floyed Lamb Park. All funds raised from both walks will stay in Nevada and will benefit those suffering from bleeding disorders in our community. Please consider making a donation!

Saturday & Sunday: Zombie Bash

Sunday: Sunny 106.5 Ice Cream Sunday

Sunday: Every Heartbeat Counts Run/Walk

A 1 mile walk or 2 mile run with family fun events following the closing ceremony.
